Episode Look At: My Next Life as a Villainess: All routes lead to doom! Episode 4.

Still waiting that Mary's and Alan's relationship to be fixed. Starting on that. Catarina knows that Mary is not "attracted" to Alan but does she understand she is "attracted" to her? Show clearly states that Geordo wants Catarina in bed but Catarina thinks that Geordo keeps her around to not deal with women. Yet she blushes when Geordo takes her close last episodes dancing scene. Show also shows that Mary is attracted to Catarina in her head, but Catarina doesn't state that. There is this mixed message going on where what I see can't be used to conclude upon but rather I have to wait until a character says it. Considering that cartoons have visuals it leads to the story not following its own logic.
I am happy that they did show Catarina Geordo talk which I felt was missing from the last episode but why does she want Geordo to have other women? I guess her head is so up in the visual novel Geordo where she used her scar to keep him trapped that she doesn't think straight. But as this episode progressive, it is quite clear that she should not let Geordo and Maria meet so she should keep Geordo close. Maybe it is just Catarina can't fathom how things are different so she doesn't see that everyone loves her. Also, she seems to have this behaviour where she thinks how to avoid death but in reality, it is just an excuse for her to farm, have a book friend, or a brother. Also, why can't she use her magic to farm? In the end, they kinda imply with the visuals that she uses magic but again it is not said. Maybe sparkles were stones.
Other notes on the episode:
- I like how to open Geordo Keith battle over Catarina is.
- Why are there books in Catarina's room even though she just moved in?
- Why Catarina started visiting the Student Council room? Okey her friends are there but they do have other things to do right? Also, we don't see them there.
- The show still has decent humour.
- I like "Geordo's scene" with Maria but the scene should have gone on longer.
